Norwich Hankie
An individual cotton square hankie screenprinted with a vintage map of Norwich.
The design is inspired by a road map of this fine city. Includes directional arrows and distances towards other towns in Norfolk: King’s Lynn, Fakenham, Hunstanton, Cromer, Aylsham; and further afield to Cambridge, Newmarket, Colchester and London.
Key locations are marked such as the Castle, Cathedral, Stranger’s House and Guildhall. Also St.Peter’s church and Chapelfield Gardens (now a shopping mall).
The River Wensum flows through the design as it wends its way through the city.
We source vintage maps to inspire our products, thus creating a historical yet contemporary item of interest - featuring for example old railway stations and streets that no may longer exist.
Screenprinted by hand in mustard yellow ink.
- Made from 100% cotton.
- Machine washable.
- Size approx 40 x 40 cm
Can be used as a handkerchief or to wear as a fun pocket square.
A great gift for someone who lives in Norwich, or is from Norfolk and has moved away.
Printed by hand in the Mr.PS studio in Salford.
The individual handkerchief comes folded, wrapped in an embossed paper band, and packed in a bio-film sleeve. (This cellophane alternative is made from vegetable starch and will biodegrade in a home compost.)
If you are choosing a present, you can also select to have the hankie gift wrapped in navy paper with a white ribbon, metallic sticker and screenprinted gift card.
